Artist Statement

I create works of art because I have a burning desire to express the ideas, images, and moods that pass through me. The more I create, the better I feel. The less I create, the more this flame of passion builds up and strives to find an outlet. Some of my art is planned and then created, and some of it is created spontaneously to see what comes out of the experience of the moment. I typically create paintings using watercolor on paper, and acrylic on canvas boards. I also do drawings in black pen on paper. I see my artistic creations as unique pieces of expression that are filtered through me and then put out into the world. Some of this is conscious and some of it is what I try to get out of my unconscious. In all my creations I strive to bring forth beauty.
